Deposit Summary
ISCG target. Target conductors tested in 2 holes to identify Cu mineralisation in host pyrhotite breccia. best interval 15m @ 0.21%Cu. Minotaur Exploration suggest result is proof-of-concept for ISCG type mineralisation in SA.
Deposit Description
JUPITER ISCG, originally the Jupiter IOCG (iron oxide copper gold) target, with drilling of a regional bullseye magnetic target in hole 90JUPRC1 completed to 180m by Burmine in 1990. The hole penetrated 2 magnetite-rich amphibolite units, with trace pyrite. In 2016 Minotaur Exploration completed new ground EM surveys to identify conductor targets extending north from the magnetic bullseye anomaly. Depth to top was estimated at 70-220m, strike length 800m, and with a sub-vertical to steep west dip. The anomaly was tested in 2 diamond holes, DD16JUP004, and 005. The core revealed weak copper sulphide mineralisation associated with an interval of pyrrhotite breccia, with mineralisation apparently synchronous with brittle faults. Best interval was 15m at 0.21%Cu from 225m.
