Deposit Description
MOUNT MYSTERY, bold but discontinuous outcrops of massive hematite up to 8 m wide over a strike length of 450m emplaced along a fault separating Late Adelaidean siltstone, sandstone and quartzite from overlying Cambrian Wallatina Formation. Proven reserves were 30,000 tonne, with production of 77 tonne reported from 1995-97.
