Deposit Synonyms Mineral District Deposit Summary mine located in Hundred Neales 2km SE of Eudunda was mined for copper in 1874. An assay on the ore gave 14.5% copper. A 15 metre shaft was sunk with a lode of copper 0.6 metre wide cut carrying rich ore. Deposit Description EUDUNDA, location uncertain, determined from newspaper reports as ~1.7 km SE of Eudunda, in Hundred Neales. Surface copper show discovered by local boy Michael Byne in 1874. A company was formed out of Kapunda, with initial workings of shallow pits. An assay on the ore gave 14.5% copper. A 15 metre shaft was excavated striking a lode to 60cm wide from which it is said that rich ore was recovered from a drive above the water table. No further details.
