Deposit Synonyms Mc 7053; Mc 7054 Mineral District Deposit Summary mine worked in ~1890, no production figures were recorded. Deposit Description BURNT PUSSY, location uncertain, recorded only as Section 200 Hundred Coglin. Mine worked in 1890 via a shaft to 5 m deep, with a 10m long N-trending drive along a ~30cm wide quartz lode in host tillite of the Appila Tillite. The tillite is overlain by a sandstone unit to the west. The tillite bordering the quartz vein is strongly altered (hematitic). The veins are parallel to bedding, which trends 080, dip 20N, and there is a well developed cleavage trend NS, dip 55W. Primary chalcopyrite was identified, weathered at surface to malachite and iron oxide. No production figures were recorded. Alluvial gold diggings reported on the adjacent drainage (see mindep # 10779), though no reports of gold from the reef mining.
