Deposit Description
TERMINATION HILL, magnesite deposit with as many as forty high-grade magnesite beds extended over a strike length of 7 km, and ranged in thickness up to 1 m. The beds dipped 70 W, and at the southern end of the outcrop were folded to trend to the southwest, probably as a result of tectonic movements associated with the Termination Hill diapir. On the basis of surface and downhole sample measurements and analyses the total magnesite resource within Termination Hill was estimated at 29 million tonnes grading 42.8% MgO.
